Because we don't currently show or participate in milk test, we do our best by purchasing breeding stock with proven qualities in these areas, and build on those characteristics and bloodlines. Our kids are raised by their dams in the way nature intended. Sometimes we have kids that we bottle feed. I milk, but not much as I'd like to. Working full time makes it difficult, so I only milk in the evenings.
As per the Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats, the online community Deborah Niemann-Boehle posted on April 16, 2014. "Commercial dairies take all kids away from the mom at birth, milk the mom two times a day, and bottlefeed the kids. They do this because they are operating under the mistaken belief that they will make more money by doing so. They will be able to take all of the milk and ration it out to the kids, rather than letting the kids take what they want when they want it from mom. Research shows, however, that does produce more milk when they are raising kids because their oxytocin levels are higher than when they are being milked by a machine or by hand. Some people with smaller herds take all kids away at birth because they believe (mistakenly) that it is the only way to raise kids that are not wild. If you handle kids daily, however, they are quite easy to handle. Most people on this list dam raise their kids."
"The only time I bottlefeed a kid is if it is too weak at birth to nurse, gets hypothermia, or is rejected by its mother. Bottle babies usually sleep through the night by about a week of age. People who bottlefeed all kids force them to go all night without milk much sooner than that."

Here is what Pecan grove wrote about Snickerdoodle on their website.
"We are very excited to have this young buck in our herd. His pedigree is incredibly milky and stacked with champions. We have big hopes that he should produce some top milking does. His half sisters from several different does have done very well in the milk pail with one producing 7 pounds of milk on a one day test this year ('09) and nine earning their stars! His dam Samoa excels in general appearance and won Grand Champion Senior doe her second time in the ring. His sire Smarty just had his first daughter to finish her championship, CH Esperanza SJ Patience, and has seven kids that have been chosen grand or reserve champions. Smarty also just earned his AR with AGS and +*B with ADGA! With all of this behind his breeding, Snickerdoodle should also throw great looking super milky kids. On top of it all he has a sweet and friendly disposition."
